ピーマンの一番おいしい食べ方
ずっと昔、子どものころはピーマンが大嫌いでした。皮のかたいところも青臭いところも、みんなダメで、よく母親に怒られていました。
しかし、中学に入学して毎日お弁当を持っていくようになってまもなく、母の「毎日ピーマン」攻勢のお弁当にギブアップというか、手なずけられてしまいました。当時ソフトボール部に入っていて朝練もあり、いくらピーマンが嫌いでも、お腹が空いて耐えられなかったんですね。まったく、母の作戦勝ちです。
で、今はピーマン大好き。中でも一番おいしいピーマンは「焼きピーマン」だと思っています。ピーマンを半分に切って種を取り、魚焼きグリルで両面をこんがり焼くだけ。焼きなすよりずっと早く焼けて簡単です。
この焼きピーマンにかつおぶしと白ゴマをぱらりとふって、しょうゆかポン酢醤油で食べれば、一人5〜6個のピーマンでもペロリと食べられてしまいます。
チンジャオロースーとかピーマンの肉詰めとか、いろいろな料理があるけれど、この焼きピーマンが一番青臭さがないような気がします。ピーマン嫌いの子どもさんに、一度食べさせてみてほしいなあ。きっとピーマンが好きになるから。
